The temples are interesting and are considered to be a part of culture of the place. There are many temples in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh is a very nice state. You find a variety of people here in Andhra Pradesh who are visiting the region due to the beautiful temples which are located in this state.

Temples in Andhra Pradesh are the ancient edifices which date back to the reign of Chalukyan, Nagara, Dravidian, and many other kings of antiquity. Every year thousands of people visit these temples and pay homage to there Gods and Goddess.

Sri Sailam
This temples owns a very important place for the people of India as it is a part of the 12 Jyotirlingams of Lord Shiva. This temple has beautiful carved walls and tall towers that depict the rich sculptural art. The temple also has a big courtyard that is one of the best pieces of Vijayanagar architecture.

Sree Kalahasti

This is regarded important as it represent the one of the important element out of the five Panch Bhootas that together constitutes this universe as well as the human body. It is temple of Shiva Kalahasti that enshrines the element Vayu.

Ahobilam

This temple at Ahobilam enshrines Nava Narasimha, who was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu on earth. He came down to earth to end the devil king Hirnakashyapu. The temple presents the nine kinds of Narasimha.

Ramalingeswara temple
It is a temple of Lord Rama located in Dharmapuri in the vicinity of Karimnagar. The temple speaks of the holy existence of Lord Rama. There is another temple dedicated to Lord Rama in Bhadrachalam, it is believed that this was the place where Lord Rama crossed Godavari river and went towards south in search of her wife Sita.

Rajeswara temple
Located at Vemulawada this temple dates back to the reign of Chalukya king called the Vemulawada. There are over a hundred temples in Andhra Pradesh that are worth visiting and if you miss them you surely have missed some thing very great and interesting. Each temple has a story behind its origin and construction. Although these stories sometimes belong to Hindu mythology or bear the significance in history, they allow you an insight into the rich cultural heritage of India.
