Andhra Pradesh is hilly region blessed with rich flora and fauna. The lush green forests and coastal regions have allowed a diversity of wildlife to develop in this region.

There are plenty of wildlife sanctuaries in Andhra Pradesh which is a happy abode of animals like wild boar, Tiger, Jackal, Panther, fox and wild dogs. Among the reptiles there can be seen crocodiles and fishing cats.

There are many wild animals in the wildlife sanctuary of Srisailam, located at Nagarjuna Sagar. However, this place is a dwelling of the fastest animal of land. The large reservoir on Krishna River has been since a long time acting a preserving place for the lost species of Indian tigers.

Nellapattu Sanctuary located nearby the Pulicat Lake is known for the large bird collection that includes variety of Indian birds. It is the largest pelican abode for birds in the south east, and attracts plenty of visitors every year.

Alisagar Deer Park as the name suggests, this place is known for the Deers that flock around the large garden that is well kept nearby a lake. While Deers have been happy angels of Alisagar sanctuary, in Coringa Sanctuary there are reptiles like sea turtles, otters and crocodiles which feel safe and secure in the precincts of this water territory.

Manjira Bird Sanctuary, Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary and Gundla Brahmeswaram Sanctuary are the other wildlife sanctuaries as well which together are working towards the betterment and safety of these animals and birds on India. Indira Gandhi Zoological Park and Nehru zoological park are most important of all these national parks. If you have a liking to observe ferocious beasts and see beautiful feathers of the birds when they spread them to take off, you must surely visit Andhra Pradesh.
