Dances of Arunachal Pradesh constitute the folk dances of different tribes that are inhabitants of the region since antiquity. Wancho Dance is one of them, which is performed by the tribe that calls itself Wancho. This dance is occasional as it is performed at special ceremonies only. Next is the Khampti Dance, performed only by Khampti Community. The special point about the dance of this community is that is a narrative dance that is based on a story and bears a hidden lesson as well.
The last two that are in line are the Buiya Dance and the Ponung Dance which is performed by Digaru Mishmis and Adi tribe respectively. Buiya dance is a dance that is performed to celebrate the prosperity as well as good health of the community.

On the other hand the Ponung dance is specifically performed by the women of the community to seek blessings of Gods for good harvest. This dance is auspicious for the people of Adi tribe and that they have a ritual to set their foot to this dance on every propitious occasion.
