There are many Bangalore dances that are famous like Kunitha. It is a ritualistic dance. There are many forms of Kunitha like the Dollu Kunitha. It is a dance that is accompanied by singing and the beating of decorated drums.


This particular dance is performed by men folk who belong to the shepherd community. The Dollu Kuntiha is distinguished by fierce beating of drums, lightning movements and also synchronized with group movements. Another form of Kunitha is the Puja Kunitha that involves carrying a wooden structure on their heads. There are many Bangalore dances, India that are prominent in the state.
