IImenite, Kaolin, limestone, Mica, fuller’s earth are the minerals found. Industries include, leather industries, cotton spinning mills, sugar mills and jute mills. Agricultural products include rice, wheat, maize, pulses, sugarcane, oilseeds, tobacco, jute and potato.
It is worth shopping for sikki-stemmed color-glass work, kasida embroidery, sujamis and tikuli ornamental works on glass, handicrafts, toys and metal works etc. There are 23 universities in this region. Serikella is the most popular dance of this region. Chhath, Sarhul and karam are some of the festivals that are celebrated with enthusiasm.
Bihar tourism has not gained much momentum. It is a pilgrimage centre to Buddhist, Jains, Hindus and Muslims. It is rich in mineral resources and a variety of industries. Bihar is a very interesting place. It is a place which can be the centre of attention for the tourists. But to gain that momentum in the field to travel and tourism, the government needs to pay attention towards Bihar.
The state must be highlighted properly from tourism point of view to make it really popular. It gets visitors every year, but the place has as lot more potential. It is a very nice and culturally rich place. The cuisine of Bihar is typical and there are many folk and local dances that are performed here. It is a nice place to visit. |
