Although there are many Tourists attraction spots in Bihar, tourism in Bihar is not very developed. Some of the important places of Bihar are:-

Barauni-This place is famous for a big oil refinery. You will find this place really interesting. A lot of tourists visit this place while visiting Bihar.

Bodh Gaya-It is situated six miles south of Gaya in Bihar state. Gautama Buddha attained enlightenment in a full moon light in the month of Baisakh under the peepal tree.

Gaya-It is a place where Lord Buddha got enlightenment. It is a pilgrimage centre not only for the Buddhists but also for the Hindus. Hindus from all over the country come here to make offerings and pray for the salvation of their ancestors.

Jadugoda-In Bihar is famous for Uranium ore mill. Jaria- is famous for coal-mining.
Kapilavastu-Ancient kingdom of North India connected with Lord Buddha. Koderma-is famous for mica mills.

Kundanpur-The birth place of 24th Jain Tirthakara Mahavir is well-known as a pilgrim centre. Mahabodhi Temple-It is a Buddha temple with the Jataka stories engraved on the walls. The famous Magadha University exists beside the temple.

Nalanda-Here was the famous university and educational centre of ancient times. The Chinese traveler Hieun Tsang visited India in 7th century had mentioned about this University.

Pataliputra-Ancient name of Patna. Capital of Bihar state. It is famous for Ashoka edicts inscribed on rocks and pillars are also major tourists’ attraction of Bihar.

Rajgir-Rajgir was called Rajgriha or King’s home in olden days. Ajatshatru named it Giribraja. It was Jarasandha’s capital. Vardhaman Mahavir who preached the Jain religion had spent 14 years of his active life here. Mahavir called his first Dharma Sabha or religious assembly on Bipul Parbat here.

Sasaram- It is known for Sher Shah’s tomb. Sher Shah was the famous Afghan king who drove away Humayun.

Vaishali- Vaishali has witnessed the major parts of Gautama Buddha’s life. On the eve of Buddha’s death centenary, the 2nd Buddhist council was held here. The 24th Tirthankara Vardhaman Mahavir was born at Kundagram in the suburbs of Vaishali in 599 BC.

These are some of the main places of Tourists attractions in Bihar. These are the places which attract a lot of visitors towards Bihar. Bihar is a nice pal cot visit and a lot of people are interested in visiting this place because it is a nice place which is so much full of colors and fun.
