Dehradun is termed as the head quarter to the district. This is a place which is visited by the thousands of the visitors through out the year. The weather of Dehradun is very temperate and even in the summer Dehradun is not much hot. The city includes many of the places which has attracted the tourists most. There are some of the other places also which has helped in increasing the number of the tourists in the city.

The people of the Dehradun are very religious and therefore they celebrate all the festivals and the fairs with the great enthusiasm. There are many of the temples in Dehradun which has attracted the lots of the visitors and also forced them to visit the city. The temples in Dehradun are the places of the worth visit. Some of the temples in Dehradun are mentioned as below:

Tapkeshawar Temple: This is an ancient temple which is situated on bank of the river Garhi Cantt. This is a temple which is dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Every year a great fair is organized on this temple on Shiv Ratri.


Laxman Siddh Temple: This is a temple in Dehradun which is situated at a distance of 12 km from the city Dehradun. It has to be believed that here the great sage undergo for the penance. As it is a temple in Dehradun which is very easy to reach, it has been visited by the huge number of the visitors.

Chandrabani Temple: This is a temple which is situated on the road of the Dehradun- Delhi at the distance of the 7 km. As to be believed that at this place was occupied by the Maharishi Gautam, his daughter Anjani and by his wife. This is a place which is also known as the Gautam Kund.

Sai Darbar Temple: This is a temple which contains the very high spiritual and the cultural value and every year this place is visited by the lots of the visitors the foreigners as well as domestic people also. This is a temple which is situated on the Rajpur Road. This is one of the most famous temples in Dehradun.

Tibetan Temple: This is a temple which is situated near the Temple of the Sai Darbar. This is a very big and the colorful temple of the Lord Buddha.

Santala Devi Temple: This is a very popular temple of the Santala Devi. This is a temple which is situated at the distance of the 15 km from the main city of Dehradun.

All these temples in Dehradun have attracted the visitors most and have also helped in increasing the visitors for visiting the city.
