Tourist Attractions
Delhi is an escape for the mind as one can feel himself transported back through time as most of its attractions have a long history.

This long history unfolds quite beautifully as the city offers a brilliant match of ancient architecture and modern architecture.

Tourists throng by millions to witness the ingenuity of the previous generations. These monuments are enjoyed by the tourists as the city welcomes a vast number of tourists every year with a tender heart.

The tourists enjoy the beauty of the city and they revisit the city. This helps a lot as Delhi is a very prominent spot despite its extreme climate.

Tourist’s Attraction
The tourist spots of Delhi include the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the India Gate, the Laxinarayan Temple, the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Humayun’s Tomb, the Qutub Minar and various other places of both historic and present day importance.

There are also other spots like Raj Ghat, Shanti Vana, the Lotus Temple, Purana Quila and Tuhlaqabad. These monuments depict not only the architectural ingenuity of the ancient Indians and also the taste for arts that was prominent among them.

This taste still exists today as these monuments are preserved by the joint venture of the Architectural Survey of India and the common man. The residents of Delhi realize the importance of such invaluable pieces of time defying architectural monuments.

Sanctity of Temples
The Laxminarayan Temple is a lovely temple with large garden and fountains attracting thousands of devotees and tourists on Janmashtami day, Lord Krishna’s birthday. This is also known as Birla Mandir. The most memorable thing is Mahatma Gandhi; the father of the nation was assassinated in the temple complex in 1948.

Humayun’s Tomb was built by his wife Hali Begum after 9 years of his death and is believed to be the trendsetter for all the other Mughal monuments there after. Similarly, the sanctity of temple is in the lotus temple. It is indeed a conspicuous edifice worth delving into. It offers serenity that saturates the temple and the artistic designs.

Historic Forts
QutubMinar is a marvel and is also significant for its representation in the Indian culture. The calligraphic inscriptions are perfect to the core with exquisite designs on the exterior. Red fort is an evidence of ancient history.

Though British demolished it various time, the structures survived. It is yet impressive. Purana Quila is an illustration of medieval architecture and Tughlaqabad is also an awesome fort with gigantic towers, splendid mosques, audience halls and tall walls. Though it is mostly ruined it has its significance.

Shopping Spree
Chandni Chowk is a living legacy. It is an attractive market built by Shahjahan for his daughter to shop for all the things she required. This is one of the largest wholesale markets today in Asia.
