Goa is an exotic place for exploration. It has various beaches and also other tourist attractions such as temples.

There are also other crowd drawing facilities such as food, climate, music, dance, culture that successfully provide the necessary infrastructure of tourists required to keep Goa on the must see list.

However, it is not enough if it makes it to the must see list. It has to retain its spot. This function has been efficiently performed by Goa.

Accessing Goa is also not a major complication as Goa is well connected with the world by means of air transport. Further the number of charter flights to Goa from all over the world is steadily rising.

Accessibility

Though Goa is well connected by air transport, one cannot arrive by means of a scheduled flight and depart by a charter flight or the other way around. This is because it is illegal. The Dabolim Airport that lies just at the external of Vasco-da-Gama is the only international airport. Goa is well connected with the other parts of the state by means of flights by Indian Airlines, Spice Jet, Kingfisher Airlines and also Jet Airways. The Konkan Railway joins Goa with Mumbai and also with Mangalore. The roadlines are well developed as Goa offers buses with super deluxe video facilities from the cities such as Margao and Panaji to Mumbai, Bangalore, Hampi and Mysore.

Mode of convenience

The ideal way to travel around Goa is by hiring a scooter or motorcycle. But without fail carry license, insurance and registration as checking is done strictly on foreigners. Taxis are also genuine and fun way to travel between towns, if you do not know to scoot on a scooter. The bus facility is good and it plies between main towns. The charges are very cheap and filled with local camouflaging as sardines. Auto rickshaws and taxis also take you on a great travel around most of the towns in Goa.

The network of railways is good and an economical mode of transportation. Traveling in Goa entails private transportation in a car or a van as well. The private as well as the government bus services connect even the most inhabited village of Goa. A single person is offered a distinct form of transportation called Motorcycle Taxi which is expensive but ideal during emergency. This is driven by Motorcycle Pilots. However, the yellow top cabs, vans and even Limousines are available on rent.

Care to be adhered

The roads are filled with motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, cars, pedestrians, dogs, buffalos, cows, etc. Care has to be adhered even while driving on National Highways as they are not free from animals and pedestrians. Moreover, the traffic lanes are not distinguished and are insecure on the sides.
