Gujarat. This dance is a specialty of the Navratri festival and is
performed throughout India. This is done to please Mother Goddess.
Garba Raas is a folk dance, but is a popular dance as it has ancient
origin. Raas Dance is performed by youthful people by moving in circles
with the musical instruments beats such as Dhol, Zanz and Flute. The
dancers for all these dances wear colorful costumes. Their dances are
so lively that it compels even the audiences to take active part.
