Gujarat is a wonderful state in India that tourists throng in millions to see the beauty of this state.

The entire crowd is received warmly and cordially in Gujarat and is treated with special care and motherhood that exemplifies the hospitality of the state.

There are also various places to visit and enjoy in Gujarat. Gujarat has a global reputation for its monumental treasures. The state preserves its monuments that are known all over the world for the architectural perfection and the ingenuity that set them apart.

The state witnesses several festivals dedicated to Lord Krishna. The state also has two thirds of its population practicing agriculture.

Significant places of visit

The capital city of the state is Gandhinagar named after ‘the father of the nation’, Mahatma Gandhi. The major tourists’ attractions present in Gujarat enjoy a myriad of tourists continuously. The Akshardham Temple is built out of pink sandstone drawing teeming crowds to it. The temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. The Sabarmati Ashram is also very important within the state. It was established by Mahatma Gandhi. It is situated on the western banks of the Sabarmati River and was the nucleus of the Indian Independence Movement. The ISKCON Temple is contemporary in its origin. It stands on the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway and is frequented by Lord Krishna devotees. The Maha Arti is witnessed by innumerable devotees.

Other Tourist Attractions

Gujarat is famous for its hospitality and their cuisine is superb. Similarly, it brings in hoards of people every year due to various tourist attraction places. Rani Ni Vav is a masterpiece of the Solanki era of the 11th century is yet fascinating the tourists. The other prosperous cities in India that attracted the Europeans during 17th and 18th century were Surat. Even today Surat is a significant commercial as well as industrial centre. This gained prominence due to the textile market. Hajira Beach entertains the holiday makers. A town called Junagadh situated at the pedestal of Girnar hill is the adieu point to Gir forest visitors.

Major Temples and forts

Gujarat has some major temples such as Somnath Temple. This is a holy place and this shrine is for Shiva devotees. The doorways of this temple are opulently carved. The Triveni Ghat and Ahilyabhai Temple are important as it is believed to be the eventual ground of Lord Krishna. Dwarka is a holy centre and numerous devotees come here to seek blessings and offer prayers. Dwarkadish Temple is a revered place for Hindus and outstanding architecture. Bhadreshwar Temple is also a holy place for Hindus and of immense esteem to the Jains. The Jami Masjid, the Uparkot fort, the light house and the wild life offers an exotic wildlife in various national parks and sanctuaries.
