Sanctuary. These sanctuaries are frequented by many people and are a

Significance
of Wildlife
Kanwar Sanctuary is
situated in the Kullu district in the Parbati valley. A rest house is
at Kasol and the regional officer of this wildlife provides sufficient
information to help its visitors. This sanctuary is eminent for
Himalyan Tahr. Walking through the fir and deodar forests is enjoyable.
Daranghati Sanctuary is situated in Shimla and is a beautiful
sanctuary. Daranghati houses Brown Bear, Himalayan Black Bear, Palm
Civet, Musk Deer, Himalayan Serow, Flying Fox, Indian Hare, Stripped
Hyena, Leopard, flying squirrel, yellow throated marten, Blue sheep and
Himalayan Weasel.
Chail Sanctuary is
situated in the Shimla district and is the appropriate refuge for
wildlife buffs as well as nature lovers. This sanctuary is masked with
oak and deodar forests. This region is opulent the flora and fauna.
This sanctuary is far from pollution and crowd and so has maintained
its serenity and peace. The snow clad background serves as an ideal
destination. The Chail sanctuary has very rare orchids to the
jeopardized species. You can view animals such as Langur, Goral,
Sambar, Himalayan Black Bear, Barking Deer, Leopard, Red Deer, Indian
Hare, Common Giant, Silver-White Oak, Yellow Throated Marten and
Kashmiri Flying Squirrel. The barking deers as well as the Kalijin are
one of the tourist attractions.
