Introduction:

Jharkhand is heritage glorious and religious place where every one can visit the temples in Jharkhand.These temples are treasure of Jharkhand.

Shiva is worshipped in many a names in the temple. It is rich in heritage, cultural and spiritual height.

Almost the entire divisions of Brahmanism such as Shaktism, Saivism, and Baisnavism have abundant of their holy places and temples.

Temples:

Kapilash Temple: It is located near Dhenkanal town; it is located at approximately 26 km from Dhenkanal district head quarter.

The history says that it was the ashram of kapil muni and some scholars consider it as a second most important kailash of Shiva the lord of destruction. The temple is 60 feet in height. The temple is situated about 2239 feet from the sea level.

Naganatheswar Temple: The Naganatheswar temple is consider as a belonging of the Sri Naganatheswar Shiva located in the village called ‘Nagena’. It’s among the most prominent and famous Saiva temple. Here river Bahmani turns to north which is also a holy river like Ganga.

Sri Kanakeswar: It is situated near Ramachandi temple. It is one of the Ashta Shambhu Siva.

Sri Annakoteswar: It is the significance of shiva linga that grooms in the bright fortnight and reduces on the dark half.

Sri Budheswar: It is situated near Bhuban bank of river Brahmani. History says that it is related to the mythology that lord Kartikey after taking the bath in the river had darshan the lord shiva.

Jagganath temple: With the spreading of the Baisnavism in the district of Dhenkanal Jagganath temple were constructed in different part of the Dhenkanal districts. It is situated in foot of the famous Kapilas Mountain in Deogaon. The gate of the temple is very much higher as compared to the entire length of the temple. Every year there are so many festival organised by the temple management and the car festival is the famous one.

Narayan temple kapilas: It is situated on the hill of kapilas. There is a very unique black granite picture of the lord Narayan. A stream of fresh water flows down and it touches the feet of the lord Narayan.

Deogarh Temple: it is the temple in the deogarh. This is also temple of shiva. Lord shiva is worshipped in this temple.

Ajgaivinath Temple: This is also situated in Deogarh. It is also the temple of shiva. There is a very large image of lord Shiva which is worshipped in the temple.

Vaidyanath Temple: It is the famous pilgrimage destination in Deogarh. History reveals that Ravana the famous ten headed king prayed here and asked Shiva the god of destruction to visit his kingdom and prayed him to make it unconquerable.
