Kerala is
God’s own country as its nick name suggests therefore there are a huge
number of temples here to fulfill the prayers of devotees.
But temples
of Kerala are distinctive in nature than the temples of other parts of
India and main reason behind the fact is the climate of this southern
state.
With the great
role of monsoon, temples are made to suit the mood of climate. Roofs of
temples are designed according to the set of the chamber of temples.
There are
conical roofs with circular plans of sanctum and pyramidal roofs with
square plans. One more important point about temples of Kerala; most of
them have seen several innovations with the circle of time. Let us have
a look on some of the prominent temples of Kerala.
