• Hanuman Temple:
The architecture of temple is similar to the others temples of the
state. This temple includes the number of images of hanuman and Rama.
Raja Sujan Singh who was the Orchha ruler built this temple. This
temple was built in the year 1717. • Mahakaleshwar Temple: This temple
is devoted to lord Shiva. This temple is situated near a lake in
Ujjain. This temple consisted of the jyotirlinga of lord Shiva.
• The Chaturbhuj
Temple: This temple is situated in Gwalior. This temple is devoted to
lord Vishnu. In the period of Pratiharas this temple was built.
• Omkareshwara
Temple: This temple is situated on the bank of the river Narmada on the
hills of Mandhata. From the place Mortakka it is situated at a distance
of 12 miles. Here one of the jyotirlinga shrines of the lord Shiva is
situated.
• Chintaman Ganesh
Temple: As the name suggests that this temple is dedicated to the lord
Ganesh. This temple is also known as Ganesha stone temple. This temple
is situated in the centre of the market in Ujjain. As lord Ganesha is
also called as Chintaman therefore this temple is named as the
Chintaman Ganesh temple.
• Bhopal Lakshmi
Narayana Temple: This temple is also called as the Birla temple as this
temple was built by the famous industrial family Birla. This temple is
situated on the hills of Arera which gives a picturesque beauty of
Bhopal. This temple includes the images of the Lakshmi and the Vishnu.
This temple also consists some of the ideal image of the lord Shiva.
• Gopal Mandir: As
the name suggests this temple is dedicated to the Lord Krishna. Krishna
was the 8th personification of the lord Vishnu. This temple is a good
illustration of the architecture of Marathas.
