Introduction:
Maharashtra is one of the biggest states in India. This state is known to be the home for the wide varieties of species of birds and animals like the crocodiles, tigers, migratory birds, and wild deer, Gawa, Bison and Neelgai.

Maharashtra has taken many possible steps to protect these sanctuaries and parks of wild life. To see the range of wild life these parks offer many opportunities to the tourists. The government of Maharashtra has taken many possible steps for setting these parks and sanctuaries and also to encourage them as the place for the attraction of the tourists.

Major wild life sanctuaries and parks in Maharashtra:
Melghat Tiger Reserve: This reserve is situated in the district of Amravati. This reserve shows the picturesque beauty of the greenery of Melghat and woodlands.

It is a reserve where one can see the Chital, panthers, tigers, Bison, flying Squirrel and sambars. Nazgira Wild life Sanctuary: This sanctuary is most famously known for its dales and fertile hills. This sanctuary includes the variety of species of animals and birds.

Here one can easily see the different species of the birds and animals. For example Bison, Barking deer, sloth bear, horned antelope, bluebull, chital and much more. Here one can also watch the chirruping of colourful birds.

The Dajipur Bison sanctuary: This sanctuary is situated on the border of sindhudurg and Kolhapur. This area is bounded by the dense forest and the rough mountains. From the human habitation point of view this area is totally disconnected. This place is known as the beautiful and thrilling holiday getaway. It is a home to many species of birds and animals like Panthers, Gawa, wild deer’s, bison and much more varieties of the animals and the birds.

The Tadoba national Park: This Park is situated at Chandrapur at a distance of 45 km. it is one of the largest national park. This park is stretch in excess of many acres of the land. This park is a mixture of the Tranquil Lake and the teak forest. This park is home to the many species of birds and animals. The ideal time to watch the Sambars, Neelgai, leopards and tigers is the late night. The park also provides the facility for night stay for the foreigner as well as domestic tourist who are visiting the national park.

One can have a great adventure and thrill while visiting these sanctuaries. The wild life parks and sanctuaries are considered as ultimate destination for wildlife lovers.
