Mahe is one of the famous places in Pondicherry which is famous for the beautiful scenes and mythological serenity. Mahe is located at the west coast of Kerala which is at the distance of 630 Km from Pondicherry.

The history of the Mahe is believed to be related to the famous statue of Marianne, a dignified symbol of French Revolution.

Shri Krishna temple
The Shri Krishna temple is considered as one of the famous temples of the South India. The temple is known world wide due to the sculpture.

Puthalam Bhagavathi Temple
Puthalam Bhagavathi Temple is popular among visitors for Puthalam festival that takes place at every fortnight of month of March.

The festival is organized with the full glory of Theyyam and it gets enacted in magnificent ways. Theyyam is one of the old and ritual arts of the North Kerala. The Theyyam include a great combination of singing, dancing, acting and choreography along with art craft.

Arunachaleshwar temple
Arunachaleshwar temple is another famous temple of the South which attracts a large number of people. The Arunachaleshwar temple is a beautiful example of the Dravidian architecture and therefore it makes the temple more favorable for the people to have a look at it.

Some other famous temples of the place are Sree hareeswara temple and Sree kurumba bahgvathy temple. Subryamanya temple which is situated in Chembra, Ayappankavu temple which is situated in the Chembra, Sree ayya temple which is situated in Koyyoottu theru and Sree vaenugopalayam temple of station road are also popular among the visitors.
