So much depends, when it comes to choosing a hotel, on how much time you intend to spend indoors. Most visitors to hotels in Manali have every intention of being up in the mountains or down on the lake most of the hours of daylight and, suitably exhausted after a days’ trekking, wouldn’t even notice if the mattress had been removed from the bed by the time the day is over!
