Festival in Punjab

Punjab celebrates Baisakhi in mid-April. This is their New Year day that consists of dancing and singing. It is also their harvest festival. Jammu and Kashmir Festivals

Festivals in Jammu and Kashmir are probably some of the most diverse festivals in North India for the simple fact that festivals are held by the Sikh, Muslims, and Hindus. There is much vibrancy involved and the enthusiasm is phenomenal. One may also find the Urs, which is a typical festival that is held at the death anniversaries of Muslim saints. So what other festivals is this area known for? Try the Yuru Kabgyat in July where you may see dances with masks and the Sindhu darshan where those from Kashmir come to worship at the Leh River. These are just some of the North India festivals that you will find in this area.
