Feature
The most striking feature about Rajasthan‘s dance and music is that
there is a lot of variety in them and also the fact there have been no
notable changes in the arts since they were established a few thousand
years ago. The roots of the regional dance and music are deep rooted in
the tradition.
The music and dance
is more common during festivals although they are a part and parcel of
the normal Rajasthani life. The ancient poets such as Meera, Malookdas
and Kabir are now inseparable parts of the Rajasthani folklore. Other
than the festivals, the dance and music are performed during occasions
such as marriage and childbirth.
Traditional

Gujarat, Haryana and Punjab. Their music is evocative and bold. Their
