Rajasthan is a haven
for different types of animals and are in particular a hotspot for
people who would like to catch a glimpse of a tiger. This attracts lots

Rajasthan is a hostile terrain, yet is an abode of mammals as well as
birds. Its vast latitudinal variations above sea level bestows with
diverse vegetation. It has partial green forests of Mount Abu to dry
desert and from thorny deciduous forest to Bharatpur wetlands.
There are many
sanctuaries and national park to preserve the precious wildlife in
Rajasthan such as Ranthambhor National Park, Tal Chapper Sanctuary,
Sariska Tiger Reserve, Darrah Sanctuary, Desert National Park,
Sajjangarh, Mount Abu wildlife sanctuary, Kumbalgarh, Keoladeo Ghana
National Park and Sita Mata Sanctuary.
Ranthambhor National
Park is located on the Aravali and Vindhyas. This has vast forests with
aquatic vegetation comprising of lilies, lotus and duckweeds. Sariska
National Park dominates with a combination of narrow valleys and sharp
cliffs.
The topography
supports dry deciduous forests, grasses and rocks. The Tal Chapper
Sanctuary is a flat tract giving a typical Savanna appearance.
Sajjangarh wildlife Sanctuary houses animals such as Sambar, Chital,
Blue Bull and Wild Boar.
Besides these
animals such as Hyena, Panther, Jackal, Hare and numerous varieties of
birds and reptiles are found in this sanctuary. All the sanctuaries and
the national parks are amidst a bounty of nature giving complete
relaxation to tourists.
