The people of the Shimla are very religious and are very devoted to the God. The common religion in the city is the Hinduism. There are many temples in Shimla which are also the places of the worth visit.

All these temples in Shimla had also attracted the lots of the visitors. These temples in Shimla had also helped in increasing the number of the tourists in the city.

Some of the temples in Shimla are:
Shri Sankat Mochan Temple of Shimla: This is one of the temples in Shimla which is located on the National Highway of the Kalka- Shimla at Taradevi and is also located at the distance of 5 km from the Shimla.

This is a temple which is totally devoted to the Lord Hanuman.

This temple is located at the very easy approach and is also considered as one of the temple to be worth visit. Many of the visitors visit this temple and offer their prayer.

Tara Devi Temple of Shimla: This is a temple which is dedicated to the Maa Bhagwati Tara Devi and is situated in the western side of Shimla on the Tarav Parvat. This temple is located near Shoghi on the National Highway of the Kalka –Shimla at the distance of the 15 km.

the picturesque beauty of the temple is breath taking and very fascinating. Many of the devotees arrive to this place for offering their prayers to Maa Bhagwati.

Jakhoo Temple of Shimla: This is a temple which is located at the height of near about 8500 ft. this is a temple dedicated to the Lord Hanuman. This temple is located in the east of Shimla.

This is one of the temples in Shimla which is easily reachable and is also is the most sought site which is visited by not merely by the pilgrims and the devotees but is also visited by the tourists that visit the Shimla.

Bheemakali Temple of Shimla: This is a temple which is 800 year sold and is devoted to the Goddess Bheemakali or Durga. This is one of the temples in the city which is considered as one of the most important Shakti Peeths to the Hindus.

If considered about the style of the architectural the temple is in the style of the Tibetan. On this temple the festival Dussehra is celebrated in a very grand way. This is a temple which is regarded as 51 scared Shakti Peeths.

Hatkoti Temple of Shimla: This is a temple which is situated next to the Pabbar River and is located at the distance of 104 km from the city Shimla. This temple is devoted to the Shiva and Durga. It is to be believed that at this place the gods fought the pitch battle.

Kali- Bari Temple of Shimla: This is the most famous temple and is also considered as the popular tourist attraction place. This is a temple which is located at the very strategic location.

In the year 1845 this temple was built and is devoted to the Goddess Kali. This temple is considered as one of the famous religious place in the country India. The visitors who visit Shimla never miss the opportunity for visiting kali Bari temple.
