Shimla is the city in the state of Himachal Pradesh and is also the capital of this state. This city is considered as the summer capital of the British India. There are many of the attraction places in Shimla which has taken the hearts of many of the visitors.

Therefore tourism to Shimla is considered as the most fascinating and the most enchanting one. All the places in the city are very much famous among the tourists. This city is considered as one of the famous tourist destination place for the visitors.

The city has attracted the lots of the visitors from all over the globe. While having the tourism to Shimla the visitors should have some of the information’s of the Shimla. Here are some of the information’s before having the tourism to Shimla.

Tourism to Shimla includes many of the tourist attraction places which have attracted the domestic as well as the foreigners.

Some of the places which have attracted the tourists most are:
Christ church and St. Michael’s Cathedral: This is one of the popular landmark churches in the city which was built in the years 1846 to 1857.

This church is also considered as the second oldest in the northern India. Here the church beauty is enhanced by the stained glass in windows. In the night this church looks more beautiful.

The other significant church in the city is the St. Michael’s Cathedral. Tourism to Shimla is growing due to such attractions. Tourism to Shimla has become even more popular in past few decades.

Himachal State museum and Library: This is a place which is situated at the distance of ½ km from the Scandal Point. This is a museum which exhibits the collection of the paintings, photos relating, and historical sculptors. This museum includes the number of the miniature paintings of the Rajasthani and the Mugal.

Some of the other places which has attracted the tourist while having the tourism to Shimla are the Vicegral Lodge and Botanical Gardens, the mall, the Prospect Hill, Jakhoo Temple and Tara Devi.

While having the tourism to Shimla one will not find any sort of the difficulty to reach the place. The city is well connected with the air, roads and rails with the other cities in the country. One can easily reach Shimla by the means of the air as the nearest airport to the city is at Jubbarhati. This airport is located at the distance of the 23 km form the city centre. This airport has the facility of the regular flights and is well linked to the Delhi, Chandigarh and Kulu.

If the visitor wants to reach this city by the mode of the railways than you must not be worried at all as the Shimla is well connected with the large gauge of the line of the railways to Kalka and after that the gauge narrow line from the Kalka to Shimla which is at the distance of the 90 km. this journey will take the time around the 6 hours and the trains will find its way through the 103 tunnels and also will show you some of the charming scenery.
