Sikkim is a place that is abundant with the splendor of nature right to
its brim. Sikkim can be compared to the mythical pot at the end of the
rainbow that is supposed to contain gold as a reward to the person who
happens to find it. There are various places that attract tourists from
all over the world.
There are lovely
stupas, monasteries, temples and exciting greenery that fill everyone’s
heart to its bursting point with content. Sikkim has several spots such
as the Orchid Sanctuary, the Yumthang valley, the Pemayangste
monastery, the Rumtek monastery, Pilling, the Khecheopari Lake, Namchi,
Yuksom, the Dudbi monastery and Tasgding.
Attractions
Sikkim has the best attractions though it is a minute land between
Nepal and Bhutan. The Mt. Kanchendzonga is one of the biggest
attractions in this smallest region. Nature has blessed Sikkim making
the tourists spellbound with its snowcapped peaks, wild animals, lakes,
monastery, and various other attractions.
Sikkim has ancient
monasteries of immense historical and spiritual significance and some
of the monasteries are Rumtek, Dubdi, Pemavangtse, Phensong,
Sangacholing, Phodong, and more. Mountains such as Singalila and Chola
are great mountain ranges. Glaciers are picturesque and they are Zemu
Glacier, Lonak Glacier and Rathong Glaciers are excellent places for
tourists to visit. The waterfalls and icefalls allure the tourists.
Some of the significant passes are Jelep la, Nathu la, Kang la and
Kongra la.

Stupa, Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok Temple, Water Garden, Wild life.
Fambong La wildlife sanctuary and many more prominent places that
tourists would love to visit.
The wildlife at
Sikkim are the Himalayan black bear, panda, musk deer, brown bear, wild
goats, yaks, goral, tiger, Tibetan antelope and leopard. In fact the
endangered species the Red Panda is the symbol of Sikkim.
