This park is large and comprises of the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary in Tamil Nadu and Wayanad in Kerala to form the Niligiri Biosphere Reserve. This Reserve boasts of varied animals and birds. The animals found here are the Asian elephant, sambar, spotted deer, gaur, chital, mouse deer, wild boar, four horned antelope, barking deer, black napped hare, tiger and Indian porcupine. The South India wildlife looks beautiful as it is enveloped with deciduous as well as evergreen forests and is really soothing.
