Tripura is a state
in the North Eastern direction in India. The state has several temples
for both Buddhists and also Hindus. The most important temples in
Tripura are the Mata Tripureshwari temple, the Fourteen Goddess temple,
the Bhuveneshwari temple, the Benuban Vihar and a whole lot more of

Significance
The

side is the popular Kalyan Sagar. In this temple during Diwali a

significant temple is the Bhuvaneswari Temple sited on the banks of
river Gomati at Udaipur. This temple is built on a high paved terrace.
The Bhuvaneswari temple features the chaala pattern with crowns like
stupa and core chambers. These stupas are inflated with floral designs.
The significance of
this temple is the back-drop of the popular novel ‘Rajarshi’ and also
the drama ‘Bisarjan’ a Rabindranath Tagore’s composition.
The Tripura temples
represent the epics and traditions of mythology. However, it has
retained the traditional and ancient heritage. Numerous pilgrims visit
these temples on occasions and tourists are also aware of the

has tourists throughout the year.
