There are abundant spots to visit on this earth. This is the best news for a traveler as he always likes to be on the move and wants to experience different places, cultures and other such unknown things.

There are many tourists who prefer to arrive at India for a vacation and spend time in the serene Indian atmosphere. The nation enjoys tourists from all over the world. There are also many places to visit in India.

The state of Uttar Pradesh is one such interesting place in India. This is because of the climate of the region is greatly accompanied by other such factors such as amiable people, great tourist spots and also by the fact that there is a lot of wildlife in the state that leaves the tourists spell bounded.

Features
The state has only a few wildlife sanctuary when compared to its past as during the partition of the state into two parts namely the states of Uttaranchal and Uttar Pradesh. The greatest piece of the wildlife sanctuaries was given to the former state. This has not made a huge dent on the wildlife of the state as there are other wildlife sanctuaries in the state. Besides the major reserves, the minor reserves such as Hastinapur, National Chambal and Katarniaghat wildlife sanctuary. The wildlife is always a great tourist as the tourists get a chance to meet with the ex-sovereigns of the land.

Wildlife
UP enjoy a vivid climate as well as relief. Owing to it the wildlife sanctuaries and national parks are scattered throughout Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh fauna consist of Antelopes, Cats, Tigers, Deer, Elephants, Rhinos, Wild Boars, Rhinos and various other common animals. Birds are also found in variety such as Jungle Owlet, Great Indian Horned owl, Barbets, Colorful woodpeckers, Painted Storks, Saras cranes, Kingfishers, Bee-eaters, Bulbuls and Minivans. The biggest wildlife reserve is the Dudhwa National Park in the district of Lakhimpur Kheri stretching over an area of 500 Sq.kms approximately. This National Park is rich in flora and fauna. Tiger and Rhinos are found only in this park.

Chandra Prabha sanctuary has Chinkara, Panther, Chital, Blackbucks, Wild boar, Sambhar, Porcupine, Nilgai and Indian gazelle and many species of Birds. Kaimoor Wildlife sanctuary extends to an area of nearly 500 Sq.kms. This sanctuary has Blackbuck and Tarai Panthers. The Nawab Gunj sanctuary is popular for its rare species of birds. The Shoveller and Pochard are found more than other birds such as peacock, painted stork, whistling teal, pheasant tailed jacana, purple moorhen, tern vulture, king crow, saras crane, white ibis, lapwing, pigeon, Indian roller and bee eater. Allen Forest Zoo has botanical garden and is an apt place for picnics. This zoo has tiger, cheetah, leopard, Asiatic lions, grizzly, languor, antelope, musk deer and many birds.
