Uttaranchal is ‘Uttarkhand’. The cuisine of the state is as natural and
as refreshing as the state itself. Apart from this, the natural beauty
of the state serves as the largest appetizer. The enchanting taste and
the nutritional ingredients used in the preparation of such mouth

The Uttaranchal
cuisine is highly influenced by the geography of this place. The
winding mountainous roads offer you flowers cooked in clarified butter

vacationers. The Uttaranchal cuisine consists of the ingredients found
in the lakes, forests and mountains. The vegetables, pulses and cereals

Milk and milk
products are the most widely found items in Uttaranchal and this has
the greatest influence in the cuisine of Uttaranchal. Some of the
significant items of Uttaranchal cuisine are Gahat ki Dal, Aloo Ke
Gutke, Rus, Kumaoni Raita, Sani Hui Muli, Bal Mithai, Kaafli, Gulgula,
Arsa, Jhangora Ki Kheer and Kulath Phanu.
The Garhwali foods
Chainsoo Chainsoo is made using black gram daal. It contains high
protein content but is difficult in digestion. The traditional food is
nutritious and appealing. Kaafuli Kafuli is prepared from leafy
vegetables. Til ki chutney is yummy and can be had with Gahat Ke
Paranthe.
This can be used to
eat various snacks. The prominent Kumaoni foods are Bhaang ki chutney,
Bhatt ki churkani, Ras, Singhal, Thathawani and Badil. The tourists
adore this food as this is completely different from their regular food.
