Durga Temple in Varanasi

Bharat Mata Temple in Varanasi
A carved marble map is seen in the temple instead of Bharat Mata statue. The map is a picture of the plains and mountains marked with absolute precision. The temple is supported by five unique pillars; each pillar is distinct in its own design. It symbolizes the five basic elements – earth, wind, water, fire and sky. All elements surround the temple and meeting at the top signifying merger with the gods.
Arhai Kangra Masjid in Varanasi
The name means 2 ½ domes. It’s a wonder by it’s the name given when the mosque is just a single dome. Though it didn’t live up to its name, the mosque is still a marvelous structure. Inside through the royal entrance, the main prayer room is located which until today is well-maintained and functional. Hindu inscriptions dating back to the 12th century can still be seen and observed by tourists nowadays.
Alamgir Mosque
Located near the River Ganges, Alamgir Mosque overlooks the Panchganga Ghat. It was built with amazing architectural expertise. The lower part and the walls of the Mosque are inspired Hindu design; the rest of the structure is done in Muslim style.
