Bengal enjoys lots of tourists like the other tourist destinations in
India. The state enjoys an excellent wildlife than other regions in the
world. The land of Bengal is famous all over the world for the Bengal
Tiger that originates in this enchanted piece of land. The land also
has a variety of other fauna except than the Bengal Tiger. The state of
West Bengal has many wildlife sanctuaries.

delight for nature enthusiasts and lovers. There are many national
parks in West Bengal such as the Neora Valley National Park in the
Darjeeling district of West Bengal.
This park has an
opulent area of bio-diversity and the Neora Valley forests offer the
authentic wilderness sustaining the distinct eco-system. Buxa National
Park is sited above sea level at a height of 2600 ft. This Park
comprises of deciduous forests and dense grasslands. Sunderban National
Park comprises of three wildlife sanctuaries at Lothian Island, Haliday
Island and Sajnekhali.
The other wildlife
reserves are the Singalila National Park that has various tree species
such as Magnolia, Hemlock, Oak, Silver Fir, Mailing Bamboo, Kawla,
Bhujpatra, Juniper, Buk, etc. The fauna in this park comprises of
elephant, leopard, serow, chinkara takin, barking deer, red panda and
birds such as doves, pigeons, cuckoo, minivet, hornbills, magpie and
many migratory birds.
Besides these
wildlife reserves are Gorumara National Park and Jaldapara Wildlife
Sanctuary. All the wildlife sanctuaries are blessed with abundance of
flora and fauna making this place a great attraction to the tourists.
